House Sales & Giveaway

Hi everyone, please excuse my absence but things have been a little frantic around here. We sold our house after the first open and it settles in a couple of weeks! EEEK!!! Hence I have been packing ..... panicking .... then packing some more. Luckily we have found somewhere to live until our tenants move out of our new home.

I am also preparing madly for the BrisStyle Twilight Market on the 16th December along with working at my new interior design job! Anyway, in order to celebrate the upcoming Christmas Twilight Market I thought I would have a little giveaway.

It's the time of year for Secret Santa at offices all around the world so I thought I would giveaway something that could be used in this realm ....

Hi everyone, I know Wednesday is usually reserved for my design post, but I am being lazy as I have the flu.

I was always intending on doing a giveaway before the school holidays, so I have decided to start early.

Hi everyone, I am back from holidays and had a wonderful time!
Sand, sun and relaxing at the beach ..... I even managed to read three magazines from cover to cover, and an entire book!

Yay, today is my 100th post!!

Firstly, I can't believe I have reached 100 posts! Secondly, and most importantly I would really really like to thank every one of my readers - you all give me such inspiration everyday! I love reading each and every comment and email you send me.

I must admit I was once a reluctant blogger - a very good friend of mine, the Divine Miss M, managed to talk me into this thing called a blog. She held my hand every step of the way in the beginning and .... as they say, the rest is history. So thank you Miss M for without you I would not have made so many wonderful 'blogging buddies' nor would my business be where it is today.

Recently I was very lucky to have won a couple of giveaways!

Today I thought I would give an overdue thank you to the two wonderful ladies who hosted the giveaways.

The first thank you goes out to Sandy from Paint Me White - I was really excited when I found I had won a leather bound 2011 diary!

Of course, the diary was not only beautifully wrapped with a hand written card but tucked inside was the adorable little table sham you can see pictured. Thanks Sandy, this will go beautifully in daughter no. 2's 'big girl room' makeover!!

The second thank you goes out to Nellie from McCarthy Designs. You may remember Nellie was giving away Better Homes and Gardens tickets each day for 5 days. Now, I really wanted these tickets, as I am going to Sydney for a girlie long weekend the very same week, so lets just say I entered more than one time!!! Anyway, thank you Nellie, I am thrilled to be able to go to this event.

Nellie sent the tickets inside one of her beautiful cards. She not only has a wonderful blog, but she sells greeting cards with her original photographs from her etsy store. Thanks Nellie, this card now takes pride of place on my pin-board in my office!

It's the little things like the hand written notes that really make these items even more special!! So thank you girls - please know that you are really appreciated.

If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Nellie and Sandy's sites ..... then you absolutely have too! Both of these ladies are really friendly and have wonderful informative sites.
Sandy, as her title suggests, loves to paint furniture so much that she now has a booming business doing it for others. Along the way, we all get to have a little glimpse at her projects and learn from the techniques and advice she freely gives.
Nellie blogs from Orange in NSW, and is a fellow renovator and interior design student. Nellie's blog is always filled with wonderful images and inspiration. She is taking a little break at the moment, but I'm sure she would still love it if you knocked on her door and said hi.

Hope you all have great weekends planned. As I am in the final countdown to my first BrisStyle market next week, I will be working on various handmade projects, not to mention getting price lists etc together. Who would have thought that there would be sooo many little jobs to complete!

Prints & Ledamae Giveaway

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great weekend! We had a long one in Noosa - it was a wonderful break, and the girls got to spend time with their grandparents. Just wanted to show you what I have been up to in between wholesale orders.

The image below shows some of the new range of framed artwork. Each design is hand stamped onto vintage paper, then backed with recycled card and framed. I have a range of French, Children's, and Comtemporary artwork which I will be hopefully loading onto my madeit store tonight. They will be listed for $18 each plus postage, and I think they look better in a group of 3 or 5 (hint, hint)!! Love to know what you all think.

Also, wanted to share with you a giveaway that Lisa over at Ledamae is having. She is giving away not one, but two of these fabulous pebble mats! The first prize is for a large white mat measuring 800mm x 500mm and the second prize if for a small pebble mat measuring 600 x 400. Lisa has a gorgeous blog filled with refreshing images, ideas, and information - originally a kiwi, Lisa now lives in beautiful Melbourne. I am soo excited because this little symbol means I have become a member of BrisStyle!! For those of you who have not heard of BrisStyle, it is a collective of independent artists and crafters from the greater Brisbane area who sell on etsy. Not only does this group support each other in the business of crafting, but members are eligible to sell their art and craft through various markets held throughout the year. So if you have not had the chance to see what BrisStyle and its members have to offer, pop on over and have a look - it's the hottest place for everything craft!!

To celebrate my membership, and to say thank you to all those who read my blog every week, I have decided to hold a giveaway:
